I cannot stress enough on how breast is best. But if you are unable to breast feed then formula milk is fine as they are trying to match the formula as close to breast milk now. Always follow the instructions on the tin carefully. Wash your hand before making up your feeds and make sure all bottle and teats are sterilized first unsterile bottles can lead to tummy bugs. Once bottles are sterilized boil the kettle to make up feeds follow instructions on tin 3oz of water to 3 scoops of milk and so on.you can sterilize either using a water sterilizer or a steam sterilizer. You will still bond with your baby as you hold her close to your body making her feel safe and secure. Bottle fed baby's have more wind than a breast fed baby.So give some colic drops before each feed or follow instruction on bottle. Never put hot bottles straight into the fridge wait till cold.
